A cocktail ingredient since the 1920s, Izarra is no stranger to the world of cocktails and mixology, far from it. But nearly one hundred years after the creations by Torti, Loeb or Fish, Izarra missed the worldwide cocktail craze.
Not without reason! Between 1998 and 2011, the brand fell into a deep sleep. When it woke up, it found Julien Escot, Bertrand Guillou Valentin, Fernando Castellon and Arnaud Grosset at its bedside. They created epic and classical cocktails, breathing new life into the Sleeping Beauty, working with Green Izarra and Yellow Izarra.
Although the choice was made to promote Izarra 54 like a great whisky, cognac, armagnac or calvados, a few major barmen have also used it in cocktails.
